Job summary

Humero on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team. You will manage month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting across a sizeable operations base.

The ideal candidate holds a CA/CPA, with 3+ years of financial accounting experience and a solid understanding of financial reporting fundamentals. You will work autonomously and with the team to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial accounting experience in a sizeable or complex organisation.
• CA or CPA qualification with a relevant degree.
• Strong grasp of accounting and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Attention to detail with a drive to improve processes.
• Confident communicator and team player.

Responsibilities

• Deliver month-end journals, schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review financial results to identify key trends and margin movements.
• Oversee monthly customer invoicing with data accuracy and coding.
• Support project teams with reporting and reconciliation of project revenue/costs.
• Calculate lease liabilities and make-good provisions; contribute to technical accounting papers.
• Assist with audits, tax reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Act as finance go-to for queries and strengthen controls.
