Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Appliances Ltd is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to own general ledger reconciliations and support month-end processes across the balance sheet and P&L. The role involves partnering with Operations, Warehousing and Inventory teams to provide cost insights and drive better commercial decisions.

You will perform analysis on operating performance, overheads and project financials, while managing intercompany activities and ensuring tax compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience, ideally in inventory, distribution or retail environments.
• CPA or CA qualification.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliations and month-end reporting skills.
• Experience with BAS/FBT and income tax requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own accuracy and integrity of general ledger reconciliations across balance sheet and P&L.
• Complete month-end and year-end activities including journals, reconciliations, reporting and analysis.
• Provide financial analysis and commentary on performance, overhead, variances and project financials.
• Partner with Operations, Warehousing, Logistics and Inventory to provide cost insights for smarter decisions.
• Support cashflow management and liaise with Treasury and head office.
