Job summary

FourQuarters Recruitment is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant in Western Australia. You will own statutory reporting for a multi-entity not-for-profit group, oversee external audits, and manage treasury functions while supporting month-end and year-end closes.

Qualifications

• Accounting qualification; CA or CPA or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience as a Senior Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Experience preparing general purpose financial statements, with regulatory reporting knowledge.
• Treasury management experience.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and financial modelling skills.
• Clear communication and collaborative stakeholder relations with auditors.
• Australian work rights and National Police Clearance within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual general purpose financial statements and statutory reporting for the group and related entities.
• Own interim and annual external audits, managing auditor relationships and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Manage tax compliance, including GST, BAS and FBT, along with regulatory and grant/funding reporting.
• Run treasury, banking and investment activities, including registers and general ledger integrity.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, processes, controls and reporting.

Summary

This is a senior financial accounting role with genuine ownership. You'll lead statutory reporting across a multi-entity group, run the external audit and look after treasury, all in a well-established organisation where demand for its services keeps growing. The Role

Reporting into the Finance team, you'll:

• Lead the preparation of annual general purpose financial statements and statutory reporting for the group and its related entities
• Own the interim and annual external audits, managing auditor relationships and supporting documentation
• Support month-end and year-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal reviews and financial controls
• Manage tax compliance, including GST, BAS and FBT, along with other regulatory and grant and funding reporting
• Run treasury, banking and investment activities, including the loan and term deposit registers, and maintain the Fixed Asset Register and general ledger integrity
• Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, processes, controls and reporting

About You

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, and CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
• 3 to 5 years' experience as a Senior Financial Accountant or in a similar financial reporting role
• Strong experience preparing general purpose financial statements, with solid technical accounting, compliance and reporting knowledge
• Treasury management experience
• Strong analytical, problem solving and financial modelling skills
• Clear communication and a collaborative style that builds trust with stakeholders and auditors
• You'll need Australian work rights and a current National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
