You will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, oversee the month-end close processes, and support the year-end audit. About the Role

We’re looking for a technically proficient Senior Financial Accountant to support our expanding business. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, contributing to the statutory audit, and reporting process. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors, contributing to the financial health and transparency of the business. Delivering continuous improvement across finance operations is also a key part of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in and execute month-end close processes, including journal preparation and posting
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
  • Statutory financial statement preparation and consolidations and support the year-end audit
  • Provide technical accounting advice to internal stakeholders and writing accounting papers to support our position
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and internal policies
About You

You’re a technically strongfinance professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving problems. You bring a proactive mindset, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for continuous improvement

Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and CA or CPA qualified
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in external reporting gained within a large corporate or ASX-listed environment, or through a role at a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm
  • Strong understanding ofAustralian Accounting Standardsand their practical application
  • Skilled in financial analysis, integratedP&L, balance sheet, and cash flow modelling
  • Able to translate complex accounting concepts into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working across multiple business units
  • Known for yourattention to detail,problem-solving mindset, and ability tochallenge the status quo
  • Motivated by continuous improvement and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
