Job summary

Montgomery Advisory in Sydney seeks a proactive Senior Associate to join its Finance team. You will advise on a broad range of banking and finance transactions for banks, lenders and borrowers, with exposure to real estate, healthcare, resources and technology sectors.

As a senior member you will mentor junior lawyers, manage transactions end-to-end, contribute to business development and develop strong client relationships with the support of a collaborative national practice.

Qualifications

• Strong post-admission experience in banking and finance law.
• Demonstrated experience working on a broad range of finance transactions within private practice.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advising major banks, non-bank lenders, corporate borrowers and government clients on a broad range of finance transactions.
• Advising on transaction structuring, due diligence and legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility, security and other finance documentation.
• Managing transactions and working closely with clients and other advisers to achieve commercial outcomes.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
• Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the development of the wider team.
