Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a Queensland Government Department to recruit a Senior Finance Analytics Officer in Brisbane with work-from-home flexibility. The contract runs until June 2027 with potential extension, paying AU$82.93–AU$88.57 per hour plus super.

The role focuses on modern BI, cloud analytics, and executive-facing reporting to drive financial decisions. You will engage stakeholders, model data, and deliver Power BI dashboards, while mentoring teams and maintaining a robust BI

Qualifications

Randstad is currently working with a Queensland Government Department to find a Senior Finance Analytics Officer on an initial contract until June 2027 with potential of extension. In this role, you will champion modern financial business intelligence practices, leveraging leading cloud and analytics platforms to streamline reporting, empower executive decision-makers, and solve complex business problems. This role is based in Brisbane with WFH flexibility.

Pay Rate: $82.93 to $88.57 an hour + super

Weekly Hours: 36.25 Hours per week

Location: Brisbane with WFH flexibility

Contract Until: June 2027 with potential of extension

What You Will Do:

Engage, consult, and collaborate with key stakeholders to capture business requirements and deliver interactive financial reporting solutions.

Analyse and resolve complex business problems by architecting innovative data models and business intelligence solutions.

Deliver training and guidance to uplift stakeholder capability in modern, best-practice financial analytics tools.

Support the maintenance and enhancement of the technical BI environment, ensuring high system availability and operational efficiency.

Lead business improvement initiatives by leveraging contemporary technology solutions to optimise financial management and reporting processes.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

Demonstrated experience analysing complex datasets and translating business requirements into scalable data structures and models.

Advanced technical expertise with data warehousing solutions (such as Azure and SQL Server) and Structured Query Language (SQL).

Proven track record creating interactive, high-impact business intelligence dashboards and visualisations in Power BI.

Solid practical understanding of contemporary financial management practices, budgeting, and corporate reporting processes.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline.

You must be a Brisbane based candidate to be considered.
