Job summary

West Moreton Health is seeking a Finance professional to forecast healthcare activity, analyse funding and financial performance, and help services plan for the future. You will provide ABF expertise and performance reporting to support executives and clinicians in decision making.

The role supports the Funding, Reporting and Analytics Manager within a diverse health service spanning Ipswich and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• High level knowledge of budgetary, funding, activity and costing frameworks within a public or health sector environment.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to provide advice and recommendations to a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively, both autonomously and in a team environment, while building and sustaining positive relationships at a divisional and cost centre manager level.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ABF and non-ABF financial analysis and reporting to support critical decision processes.
• Support Funding, Reporting and Analytics Manager and executives, senior clinicians and business leaders with financial decision support.

About the role

This role supports the Funding, Reporting and Analytics Manager and plays an integral role in the team in the provision of financial decision support services to a complex range of stakeholders. This role will work closely with the wider Finance and Business Services Division, external stakeholders and with the Executive and key senior clinicians to provide expert Activity Based Funding (ABF/ & non ABF) and financial analysis and reporting to support critical decision processes.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

• High level knowledge and understanding of budgetary, funding, activity and costing frameworks within a public or health sector environment, including the ability to maintain budgets, upload information and complete Tri data reporting.
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to provide advice and recommendations to a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively, both autonomously and in a team environment, while building and sustaining positive relationships at a divisional and cost centre manager level.
• Ability to provide a high level of financial and business advisory support including analysis of budget trends, and investigation of variances, present quality financial, staffing and activity data compared to budgets, targets, benchmarks, key performance indicators, cost benefit analsys on potential initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering analysis and reporting, evaluating projects, demonstrating the ability to accurately interpret the information requirements of clinical and non-clinical clients, and using computerised health information, clinical costing, and financial systems and other tools to meet information needs.

Mandatory Requirements

• Whilst not mandatory, a formal finance qualification such as a CPA or equivalent accounting qualification is highly desirable.
