Job summary

nbn is seeking a Senior Field Technician based in the Dubbo area to deliver end-to-end field services across Australia. You’ll install, repair and maintain network services with customer-focused care, while collaborating with a supportive team and advancing your skills through coaching and mentoring opportunities.

The ideal candidate will hold an ACMA licence and a Certificate III or IV, with a valid driver’s licence and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Autonomous and motivated self-starter with strong customer service focus.
• Ability to work across copper, fibre, or fixed wireless installations and fault-finding.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end field service to homes and businesses across Australia.
• Install, maintain and repair network services with focus on quality and timeliness.
• Collaborate with team, coach and mentor juniors where applicable.
• Work 7am–7pm window and travel as required to areas away from residence.

A bit about your role

As part of a field service team, you’ll discover a diverse and dynamic workplace where no two days are alike. In your day to day work you’ll be the backbone that keeps Australia connected, delivering end-to-end service to homes and businesses across the nation. From installation to repair and maintenance, you’ll see the impact of your work in real time with every satisfied customer. You’ll collaborate with a supportive and inclusive team, with opportunities for coaching, mentorship and career progression at every step.

A bit about you

To thrive in this role, you’ll be an autonomous and motivated self-starter, with extensive experience with copper, fibre network assurance fault finding or fixed wireless/non-fixed line installs. You’ll have an appetite to embrace a complex industry while learning and developing on the job, drawing on your dedication, drive, and customer service skills to deliver service with integrity. The ideal candidate will possess an ACMA licence along with a Certificate III or IV qualification. Previous preferred experience would be advantageous; however, it is not a mandatory requirement.
