Job summary

nbn is seeking a Senior Field Technician to work in the Canberra region, delivering install, repair and maintenance across our fibre and copper network. You will provide brilliant customer service and be the backbone of connecting Australians to reliable broadband services.

You will operate as an autonomous, self-motivated technician with ACMA-licensed credentials and a Certificate III/IV, ready to travel as required and work within a dynamic field team.

Qualifications

• ACMA licence is required along with a Certificate III or IV.
• Experience with copper or fibre network assurance fault finding or fixed wireless installs is preferred.
• ACMA licence and relevant qualifications must be held to apply.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain network services for homes and businesses.
• Deliver end-to-end service with strong customer focus.
• Travel to sites and work across diverse locations within Canberra region.

As a Senior Field Technician, you’ll utilise your people and technical skills to make a meaningful and lasting impact, putting smiles on our customers’ faces, bringing more possibilities to Australian homes and businesses and propelling our nation into the future.

A bit about your role

As part of a field service team, you’ll discover a diverse and dynamic workplace where no two days are alike. In your day to day work you’ll be the backbone that keeps Australia connected, delivering end-to-end service to homes and businesses across the nation. From installation to repair and maintenance, you’ll see the impact of your work in real time with every satisfied customer. You’ll collaborate with a supportive and inclusive team, with opportunities for coaching, mentorship and career progression at every step.

A bit about you

To thrive in this role, you’ll be an autonomous and motivated self-starter, with extensive experience with copper, fibre network assurance fault finding or fixed wireless/non-fixed line installs. You’ll have an appetite to embrace a complex industry while learning and developing on the job, drawing on your dedication, drive, and customer service skills to deliver service with integrity. The ideal candidate will possess an ACMA licence along with a Certificate III or IV qualification. Previous preferred experience would be advantageous; however, it is not a mandatory requirement.
