Job summary

CBRE is seeking a seasoned facilities/EME professional in Sydney to manage planned preventive maintenance, records, and life cycle analysis for M&E at the site. The role includes addressing aircon and temperature control issues, supporting project scheduling, budgeting, and safety compliance across office premises.

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance of equipment per OEM schedules.
  • Maintain records for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Conduct life cycle analysis (LCA) for M&E setup at the site.
  • Attend to airconditioning and temperature control issues in office premises.
  • Assist with project scheduling and monitor budgets and timelines.
  • Recommend safety improvements and ensure compliance with codes and directives.

Job description

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance of equipment’s as per OEM/recommended schedules.
  • Maintains records for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Conducts LCA (life cycle analysis) for all the M&E set up at the site.
  • Attends to issues related to Aircons and temperature controls in office premises.
  • Assists with project scheduling and helps to monitor project budget and timeline.
  • Recommends safety improvements and adheres to all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to power, energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitors fire alarm and general facility electrical systems.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • To be back up to the FM when he/she is on leave/vacation. Supervise FM operations, liase with vendors, LL. Provide timely updates to employees and stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of ten years related industry experience.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles, without restrictions, or limiting conditions. (Corrective lenses permitted)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to prepare opex and Capex budgets. Conducts basic financial analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the use, setup and operation of Windows-based computers and desktop applications such as MS-Word and MS-Excel.
  • Must be familiar with the design and specification of new equipment, including electrical distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, controls, lighting, electrical auxiliaries, etc.
  • Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
