Job summary

Nexia Edwards Marshall in Adelaide is seeking an Audit & Assurance professional to support external audits and develop analytical and technical skills, underpinned by clear and strong communication.

Reporting to managers and partners, you will perform a broad range of audit tasks, build client relationships, travel locally when required, and be part of a values-driven, supportive firm.

Salary range $85,000 - 100,000 package including superannuation.

Qualifications

• 2 years external audit experience in an Australian Accounting Practice.
• Commenced or completed Chartered Accountants Program through CAANZ or CPA Australia program or equivalent.
• Bachelor degree or higher qualification majoring in Accounting.
• Able to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent English skills both written and oral.
• Experience with not-for-profit, banking, building and construction, transport, professional services and wine industry advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with external financial audits and reporting audit results.
• Develop understanding of a broad range of client businesses and associated risks.
• Assess and review internal controls and document client processes around key business cycles; test controls and communicate deficiencies.
• Perform substantive audit procedures to confirm assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure.
• Draft engagement letters, strategy reports, completion reports and audit reports for review.
• Local, intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
