Job summary

The Department of Defence is seeking an APS 6 Senior Technical Assessor within the Defence Export Controls Assessments section to determine export control status for military and dual-use items, software and technology. You will build relationships across government, industry and academia to support knowledge sharing on developments and export control implications.

You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at Negative Vetting Level 1.

Qualifications

• Form al qualifications in science or engineering are required.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and be collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Determine export control status for a wide range of military and dual-use items, software and technology.
