Job summary

Allspec Engineering Pty Ltd in Hope Valley, WA is seeking a Senior Estimator to manage tendering from enquiry through submission, with responsibility for the estimator’s own workload. The role focuses on diverse project scopes in energy, resources and infrastructure, delivering accurate costings and profitable outcomes.

Core duties include client liaison, supplier and subcontractor coordination, tender compilation, and negotiations.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in heavy steel fabrication estimating, with Energy and Resources and Infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience with STRUMIS is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients on all aspects of the tender process.
• Source and liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to price tenders.
• Compile all aspects of the tender, outlining inclusions and exclusions.
• Estimate using first principles, norms and tonnage rate methods.
• Negotiate with suppliers and clients.
• Work with project delivery to ensure handover and profitability.
• Utilise software to prepare estimates.

As a result of our continuing growth, we are looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team located in Hope Valley.

In this role you will be responsible for tendering from enquiry through to submission with full accountability for your own workload. Project scope will be diverse with the below core duties.

Core duties not limited to:

• Liaising with clients on all aspects of the tender process.
• Sourcing and liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors as required to successfully price tender.
• Compiling all aspects of thetender, clearly outlining inclusions and exclusions.
• Estimating using first principle, norms and tonnage rate methods.
• Undertaking negotiations with both suppliers and clients.
• Working closely with the project delivery team to ensure effective handover and execution to meet client expectations and ensure project profitability.
• Utilising our software to prepare and complete estimates.

Certificate III in Engineering -Fabrication Trade or

Bachelor Mechanical or Structural Engineering or

Project Manager in heavy fabrication

With 5 years experience in heavy steel fabrication estimating particularly with;

Energy and Resources

Infrastructure

Experience with STRUMIS is desirable but not essential
