Job summary

ASC is Australia’s submarine company seeking a Senior Estimator to develop robust, commercially sound cost estimates for complex sustainment programs. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, establish estimating methodologies, and deliver pricing solutions aligned with project objectives.

You will use ProPricer and advanced Excel, applying analytical thinking and risk analysis to produce accurate estimates. This full-time role is based at our Henderson site in Western Australia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in estimating, cost modelling, or a similar commercial role.
• Advanced estimating knowledge with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience mentoring and coaching team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of cost estimates from initiation through to final submission with stakeholder engagement.
• Analyse scope and develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for estimates.
• Prepare accurate estimates using historical data, parametric methods, supplier quotations, and stakeholder inputs.
• Identify estimate risks and support contingency development through risk analysis tools.
• Apply financial and commercial factors to develop pricing submissions.
• Develop and maintain estimates within ProPricer and other estimating systems.
• Capture and document estimate assumptions, conditions, exclusions, and rationale.
• Prepare high-quality estimate deliverables and supporting documentation for customer and internal review.
