Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU is seeking a Senior Estimator to join its growing Queensland team. You will prepare accurate end-to-end estimates for major civil infrastructure, concrete, FRP and earthworks projects valued between $10M and $100M, supporting tender submissions and commercial outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead estimate development, review budgets, manage risks, and collaborate with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure competitive, compliant and timely outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years estimating experience in civil construction or infrastructure.
• Experience estimating concrete, FRP, earthworks, or large civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience on projects valued between $10M and $100M.
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, Contracts Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate end-to-end first principles estimates for civil infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed project cost estimates and budgets.
• Review and validate estimates prepared by other estimators.
• Conduct risk and opportunity assessments before tender submissions.
• Prepare tender clarifications, assumptions, and commercial queries.
• Manage project variations, progress claims, and pricing adjustments.
• Support contract administration and commercial documentation.
• Communicate project risks, opportunities, and tender conditions to management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure estimating activities comply with industry standards and procurement requirements.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of major self-performed infrastructure projects.
