Job summary

Corelight is seeking a Senior Escalation Engineer to join our Customer Success team. You will tackle complex post-sales issues across Corelight products, Linux systems, hardware, and cloud environments, guiding customers from investigation to resolution with clear communication.

The role requires deep troubleshooting chops, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to mentor others. On-call flexibility and a strong security mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on technical experience in post-sales support, escalation engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux/UNIX systems.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SMB, TLS/SSL.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Scripting or automation experience using Python, Zeek scripting, or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for customer support cases and escalations.
• Own complex Tier 3 issues from investigation through resolution.
• Troubleshoot Corelight products, Linux systems, hardware, networking, and cloud environments.
• Analyze logs, packet captures, and network traffic to identify root causes.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to customers.
• Maintain communication with customers and internal stakeholders per SLAs.
• Mentor other Tier 3 staff and Sales Engineering teams.
