About the Role

Reporting to the Head of ERP, this role will provide enterprise technical leadership, architecture oversight and platform stewardship across a sophisticated SAP ecosystem. Rather than leading through direct line management, you will lead through technical credibility, governance and influence, working closely with vendors, delivery partners, project teams and senior internal stakeholders.

This role offers the opportunity to influence the technical direction of a critical enterprise platform, shape modern SAP architecture practices and play a key role in ensuring the ERP environment remains secure, resilient, scalable and ready for the future.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and governance across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP and integrated SAP and non-SAP platforms.
  • Own the technical integrity, performance, availability, security and lifecycle management of the ERP landscape.
  • Review and guide architecture, solution design, integrations, extensions, upgrades and platform changes.
  • Influence technical outcomes across managed service providers, implementation partners and specialist contractors.
  • Drive operational excellence across incident resolution, release management, monitoring, capacity planning and environment management.
  • Ensure SAP solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, Clean Core principles, cybersecurity requirements, audit obligations and technology governance.
Skills and Experience

You will be an experienced SAP technical leader who enjoys solving complex enterprise challenges, setting technical direction and influencing outcomes across large-scale technology environments. You are comfortable operating as a trusted authority, working across technical teams, senior stakeholders and external partners to ensure solutions are robust, secure and future-ready.

Additional experience will include:
  • Significant experience supporting, governing or architecting complex SAP environments.
  • Strong technical capability across SAP S/4HANA, HANA DB, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite and related enterprise technologies.
  • Ability to influence technical direction for indirect teams of contractors and service providers
  • Experience working in large enterprise, multi-vendor or managed service environments.
  • Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core principles, integration frameworks, API-led architecture, security and identity management.
  • Ability to review technical designs, challenge decisions constructively and set standards across projects and operational services.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical risk and complexity into clear business impact.
  • Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline; SAP, TOGAF, ITIL or cloud certifications will be highly regarded.
Recognition and Reward

What you can expect from us:

  • Commitment to your ongoing development, including on-the-job opportunities, formal programs and coaching
  • Industry-leading 18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carer, and maintenance of superannuation or retirement benefits at the current rate during any period of unpaid parental leave for up to 24 months (plus secondary carer leave entitlements)

  • Relocation assistance (if required)
