Job summary

Unison Solar Energy is seeking a Principal Equipment Engineer at Acacia Ridge, Queensland to lead the reliability and maintenance of high-volume solar PV manufacturing equipment and production systems.

The role involves establishing equipment engineering standards, maintenance strategies and continuous improvement programs to support safe, productive operations. You will collaborate with Production, Process, Quality and Maintenance teams while reporting to the Equipment Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechatronics/Electrical engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience in industrial manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and specialist engineering expertise relating to manufacturing equipment and production systems.
• Develop and maintain equipment engineering standards, maintenance strategies and reliability programs for safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
• Analyze equipment performance, downtime trends and maintenance data to improve asset reliability and OEE.
• Lead equipment investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce breakdowns and improve performance.
• Lead equipment acceptance, commissioning and production readiness for new/modified equipment.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
