Job summary

Environment Protection Authority in Adelaide seeks a Senior Environmental Adviser to lead regulatory assessment and compliance activities. The role involves guiding complex issues, supervising small teams, and delivering expert advice to stakeholders, in support of South Australia’s environmental priorities.

You will work across regulatory strategies, emissions control, and environmental auditing, with flexible working arrangements including home-based options.

Qualifications

• Essential degree in science, applied science, engineering, environmental management or equivalent.
• Desirable postgraduate qualifications and experience in environmental regulation, auditing or project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory assessment and provide expert advice on environmental matters to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify priority issues in environmental regulation and ensure compliance using regulatory tools.
• Supervise small teams or project teams and manage workload to achieve EPA objectives.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of specialist projects supporting EPA priorities.
