Job summary

Hume City Council in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Environmental Compliance Planner to ensure environmental planning controls are applied and to protect built and natural environments across the municipality, with a focus on urban growth. Responsibilities

Provide advice and recommendations to planning teams on environmental planning issues.
Identify the need to review and update planning instruments and policies.
Prepare background documentation for updates to the planning scheme.
Liaise with Strategic Planning to ensure environmental considerations are included in future community planning.
Collaborate with stakeholders to meet offset and land management obligations.
Regularly inspect properties and advise on land management and pollution abatement.
Monitor developments for compliance with the Planning Scheme and permits.
