Job summary

ALRA | Australia's Leading Recruitment Agency in Sydney seeks a Senior Environmental Planner to lead environmental approvals for major NSW projects within a national consultancy. You will work with experienced Principals and in-house specialists across Ecology, Heritage and Engineering.

You will own EIS and REF processes, coordinate multidisciplinary assessments, and mentor junior planners while shaping delivery workflows as the team grows. Hybrid work and development support are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' environmental planning and approvals experience.
• Strong experience with EIS, REF and NSW planning assessment processes.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Qualifications in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental impact assessments and approvals for major NSW projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary assessments across Ecology, Heritage, Engineering and other environmental disciplines.
• Manage project delivery, technical reporting, budgets and timelines alongside Principal Planners.
• Provide strategic advice to clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor junior planners and contribute to improving project delivery processes.
