Job summary

Borg is a leading Australian-owned manufacturing and building products group seeking a Senior Environmental Manager to provide environmental leadership across the Group and ensure compliance, risk management, and support for major operational and development projects.

You will lead monitoring programs, due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and responses to audits while partnering with senior leaders to drive continuous improvement across diverse operations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Management, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in environmental compliance or management.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW environmental legislation, licensing, approvals.
  • Experience with government agencies and regulators.
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.

As our Senior Environmental Manager, you'll provide environmental leadership across the Group, managing compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting major operational and development projects.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead environmental compliance activities across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to licences, approvals, and environmental legislation.
  • Manage environmental monitoring programs covering air, water, noise, waste, biodiversity, and heritage matters.
  • Provide environmental due diligence and risk assessment support for operational and development projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with environmental regulators, local councils, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Lead responses to environmental audits, inspections, incidents, and compliance assessments.
  • Provide strategic environmental advice to senior leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Group.
About you
  • Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Ecology, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in environmental compliance, regulation, or environmental management.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW and other State environmental legislation, approvals, licensing, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience working with government agencies, regulators, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident managing multiple projects while influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
