CPP is seeking a Senior Engineer - Secondary to strengthen our Adelaide hub, delivering HV substation PAC designs across Australia’s renewable energy and utility sectors. You will work under the Manager - Secondary Design with a respected engineering team, producing precise designs and supporting field staff and customers.

You will lead complex secondary system projects, check outputs, and ensure designs are practical and constructible while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex secondary systems design projects.
• 7+ years experience in energy/electrical utilities or renewables.
• High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsabilités

• Produce accurate precision designs for secondary protection and control (PAC) systems in HV utility and renewable sectors.
• Deliver complex internal and external secondary system design projects and check outputs.
• Support field staff, customers and colleagues with design deliverables.

Job Description

CPP has the largest in-house design and engineering team of any contractor in Australia, with over 170 specialists across Electrical Primary and Secondary, Civil, Structural, and SCADA disciplines. We provide end-to-end engineering solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including nationally significant transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms and battery storage systems that drive Australia’s renewable energy transition.

Our engineers work closely with construction and operations teams, ensuring designs are practical, constructible, and continually refined through real-world feedback. The Opportunity

Step into an exciting role as Senior Engineer - Secondary at CPP, where you will play an important part in supporting the continued growth of our Adelaide engineering hub while delivering high-voltage substation projects across Australia’s renewable energy and utility sectors.

Reporting to the Manager - Secondary Design, you will work closely with our highly respected and well‑established engineering team. Bringing strong hands‑on design expertise of high voltage renewable and utilities projects, you will deliver timely and accurate technical designs while supporting field staff, customers and colleagues.

The successful candidate will be able to produce accurate precision designs required for secondary protection and control (PAC) systems in the high voltage utility and renewable sectors. You will deliver complex internal and external secondary system design projects, and demonstrate capability of checking secondary system design outputs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience leading complex secondary systems design projects
• 7+years experience in a similar role within Energy/Electrical utilities or renewableindustries
• High‑level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
