Xero in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Salesforce Platform to drive hands-on development, design reviews, and incident response. You will help shape security, release, and operational standards for a high-availability platform.
You will own CI/CD pipelines, release engineering across major cycles, and partner with Security, Data & AI teams, contributing to scalable, long-lasting solutions while mentoring others and adopting AI tooling as it evolves.
Xero's Salesforce platform powers our go-to-market solutions and is increasingly the core infrastructure for our agents. As a senior engineer, you'll spend most of your time in hands-on work: writing and reviewing code, joining design reviews, responding to incidents and building proofs of concept. You'll help shape how the platform is secured, released and operated.
Your impact is measured in results. Today the platform runs at 99.95% uptime, with 100% path-to-production compliance, zero Sev 1 or Sev 2 incidents and 150 to 200 deployments a month. You'll help maintain that standard as the platform scales significantly. This role lets you Go Bold by challenging how the platform is built, Go Fast by removing friction to production, Go Further by building things that last and Go Together by lifting capability across every team that depends on you.
The Platform team sits within Customer Platforms, the engineering group behind Xero's go-to-market and customer experience technology. You'll work closely with engineering leaders across Security, Data and AI, and with colleagues across Australia, New Zealand and our offshore partners.
Based in Melbourne, we encourage one day a week in the office to stay connected with your peers. The pods you support are spread across Australia, New Zealand and offshore, so you'll be comfortable building trust and aligning people asynchronously and in writing.
