The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Network to provide technical expertise in optimising wastewater and alternative water system assets. In this role, you’ll ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted sewerage and reuse services while supporting continuous improvement, compliance, and cost-effective operations.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, analyse, and interpret network operational reports, dashboards, and key metrics to track and improve asset performance and compliance.
  • Identify operational anomalies, escalate issues, and implement improvement projects to optimise processes and reduce risks.
  • Support wastewater and recycled water quality management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and research new operational methods to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership and maintain team wellbeing, applying HAZOP, HACCP, and other HSEQ frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to implement operational enhancements and best practices.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in water/sewerage engineering, recycled water infrastructure, and process optimisation.
  • Program and project management experience, including supporting consultants on engineering works and studies.
  • Experience using Integrated Management Systems, Water/Sewerage Quality Systems, Asset Management Systems, HACCP, and SCADA.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Digital literacy across MS Office, GIS, BI dashboards, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel, work on operational sites, and participate in afterhours incident/duty rosters.
