Job summary

KONE in Mascot, NSW, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Product Team to lead Design Practitioner activities under NSW DBP Act. You will prepare and verify regulated designs, issue DCDs, and collaborate with practitioners and Certifiers to ensure compliant, safe lift/escalator systems in regulated buildings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Vertical Transport Engineering experience in the last 10 years (including 2 years in Australia).
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
• Registered Design Practitioner(NSW) desirable or in process.
• Effective communication skills with clear articulation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and translate customer needs into specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify regulated designs and issue Design Compliance Declarations (DCDs) under the NSW DBP Act.
• Collaborate with building practitioners, Principal Design Practitioners, and Certifiers to ensure compliant designs.
• Support the sales and operations teams.
• Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to drive improvements and frontline operations.
• Manage design variations with accurate documentation for Building Commission NSW compliance.
• Ensure lift, escalator, and moving walkway systems are integrated within regulated buildings meeting BCA requirements.
• Provide SME support to the wider CSE team on building codes and compliance requirements.
