Job summary

Senior Engineer - Bridges, Ports and Structures, Adelaide, SA, Australia, AECOM seeks an experienced structural engineer to design and analyze bridge structures and port infrastructure, including reports and construction documentation. You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure designs meet Australian standards and project requirements.

Responsibilities include managing timelines and budgets, performing site inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Design and analyze bridge structures, including preliminary design, detailed engineering, and construction documentation using industry-standard software and methodologies
• Develop structural solutions for port and maritime infrastructure projects, including wharves, breakwaters, and marine facilities
• Prepare comprehensive engineering reports, calculations, and technical specifications for project stakeholders and regulatory authorities
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural requirements into overall project delivery
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols
• Perform site inspections and assessments to evaluate existing structures and identify design constraints
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and environmental regulations
• Experience in structural engineering, with demonstrated expertise in bridge design and/or port infrastructure projects
• Strong proficiency with structural analysis and design software
• In-depth knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for structural design
• Solid understanding of bridge engineering principles, including load analysis, material selection, and construction methodologies
• Experience with port and maritime infrastructure design, including knowledge of hydraulic modeling and marine environmental considerations
• Professional engineering license or eligibility for registration with Engineers Australia is preferred
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in the Australian market is advantageous
