Job summary

Federal Government department in Canberra, ACT seeks a Senior Endpoint Security Infrastructure Engineer to join the Platform Services team. You will operate, maintain and improve ICT infrastructure and endpoint security platforms with focus on secure, reliable services.

The role covers Windows Server, endpoint protection, identity and privileged access management, vulnerability remediation and security uplift activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience administering and supporting enterprise endpoint security platforms.
• Experience with Airlock Digital, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Defender products or similar.
• Strong ability to respond to CVEs, vendor advisories and security findings with remediation.
• Detailed Windows Server experience: AD, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, DFS, SCOM, SCCM/MECM, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Knowledge of Australian Government cyber security requirements (ISM and Essential Eight) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise endpoint security platforms (EDR, application control, endpoint protection, etc.).
• Monitor CVEs and security findings; coordinate remediation, testing and patching.
• Support Windows Server and infrastructure services (AD, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, GPO, DFS, SCOM, SCCM/MECM, Intune).
• Support identity and privileged access management (CyberArk, Secret Server, Entra ID).
• Contribute to security uplift, platform lifecycle, technical documentation and knowledge transfer.
