Job summary

Axiom invites a seasoned employment lawyer to join our global talent network. You will advise F100 and ASX-listed clients on employment law and workplace safety, handle disputes, draft responses, and review policies and contracts.

The role supports remote work with flexibility, requires 5+ years PQE in Australia, deep knowledge of the Fair Work Act, and the ability to work independently across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ PQE working in Australia.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and the Fair Work Act.
• Awareness of new or pending federal and state legislation and industry trends.
• Experience working independently and cross-functionally.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and pragmatic advice to clients on employment law and workplace safety matters.
• Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders.
• Handle employment disputes and litigation.
• Support transactional matters, including outsourcing.
• Draft employer responses to legal claims and letters of demand.
• Policy and contract reviews.
