Job summary

Medii seeks an Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM) to join the emergency department of a major tertiary referral hospital in Darwin. You will provide senior clinical leadership in a high-acuity ED, oversee a large team, and contribute to trauma care and retrieval coordination.

The role offers opportunities for education, research and leadership, with relocation assistance and a competitive remuneration package under the NT public sector arrangement.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of ACEM (FACEM) with eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
• Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
• Strong teaching, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in tropical Darwin.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership and decision-making in a busy tertiary ED.
• Supervise and teach registrars, residents and medical students in workshops and simulations.
• Contribute to trauma care, retrieval coordination, quality improvement and departmental development.
• Optional involvement in education, research and leadership roles.
