Job summary

Mediix in Darwin seeks an Emergency Medicine Consultant (FACEM) to lead a busy tertiary ED. You will supervise registrars and medical students, contribute to trauma care and retrieval coordination, and drive quality improvement. An optional role in education, research and leadership is available.

The position offers senior medical remuneration under the NT public sector agreement and relocation assistance, with a tropical lifestyle in the Darwin area.

Qualifications

• Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM), with eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
• Strong teaching, leadership and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical leadership and decision‑making in a busy tertiary ED.
• Supervise and teach registrars, residents and medical students through the department's weekly teaching program.
• Contribute to trauma care, retrieval coordination, quality improvement and departmental development.
• Optional involvement in education, research and leadership roles.
