Job summary

RSGx is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our hybrid team across Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. You will assess project scope, drawings and terms to produce accurate cost estimates using digital tools, while coordinating with project managers and suppliers.

You will develop competitive bids, analyse quotations, and maintain records to support compliant tender submissions. A strong background in electrical systems and market factors will help drive profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating LV, MV and HV projects in utilities or industrial sectors.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and commercial terms to inform estimates.
• Strong cost control, risk assessment and contingency planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Review enquiries and ensure information is available to enable accurate estimates.
• Analyse labour, materials and equipment to develop cost projections.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
• Develop competitive bids and proposals meeting client needs.
• Evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with suppliers and project stakeholders during estimating.
• Maintain detailed estimating records and supporting documentation.
• Incorporate contingencies for risks and market changes.
• Prepare cost reports and tender documentation for submissions.
• Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company policies.
