NEPEAN Power is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across Electrical Products, QA and compliance. You will guide teams, manage client and supplier relations, and drive standardisation and innovation in electrical product engineering.

The role requires a senior hands-on leader with a strong track record in design, delivery and safety compliance across mining, energy and industrial sectors. Australian-owned, Thornton NSW base.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or eligibility preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer status such as RPEQ is highly regarded.
• 10–15 years’ experience in electrical design and project delivery in heavy industry preferred.
• Experience across mining, energy, utilities or infrastructure environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, PLAN, ETAP or PowerFactory.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical reporting skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead estimation and quoting of complex electrical systems (power distribution, control, instrumentation).
• Provide technical guidance to engineers, designers and drafters across projects.
• Develop, implement and maintain engineering design standards and specs.
• Ensure designs meet AS/NZS, IEC and IEEE standards.
• Oversee deliverables to achieve on-time, on-budget outcomes.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments and audits for compliance.
• Coordinate interfaces across mechanical, civil, and control disciplines.
• Mentor engineers and support teams; drive safety and quality culture.
