Job summary

Cell Engineering in Brisbane/Gladstone area seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead HV/LV projects in Central Queensland, with relocation support to Gladstone. You will work on mining, energy, utilities and heavy industry initiatives, delivering end-to-end engineering from concept to commissioning.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering and 6+ years' experience, strong discipline knowledge, and proficiency with ETAP and other software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience delivering electrical power system projects in mining, utilities, power generation or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems, protection systems and electrical design.
• Experience using ETAP, PowerFactory, SKM PowerTools, PowerCAD or PSCAD.
• RPEQ registration or commitment to obtaining RPEQ.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HV and LV electrical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning support.
• Undertake power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, earthing and power quality analysis.
• Prepare engineering deliverables including single line diagrams, protection schematics, equipment specifications and technical reports.
• Provide FAT, SAT, commissioning and site engineering support.
• Lead technical project delivery while mentoring Project and Graduate Engineers.
• Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.

About the Role

Based in our Gladstone office and working across mining, energy, utilities and industrial projects, you will:

• A sound understanding of industrial control systems, PLC and SCADA interfaces (desirable).
• RPEQ registration or a commitment to obtaining RPEQ.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering quality engineering outcomes.
• Willingness to relocate to Gladstone, QLD.
