Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical building services design for complex data centre and mission critical projects across Australia. You will own design delivery from concept to construction and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
• 6–10 years' experience in electrical building services consulting.
• Experience delivering complete design packages with minimal supervision.
• Consulting experience across commercial, industrial, health, defence, education, sports and data centres.
• Experience preparing technical reports, specifications and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services systems from concept through to construction.
• Independently deliver engineering design packages with minimal supervision.
• Prepare and review coordinated engineering calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Develop electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, earthing, standby power and other electrical infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Resolve technical design challenges and proactively manage design interfaces across project teams.
• Support construction phase services including site inspections, responses to technical queries and review of contractor submissions.
• Continue developing your technical capability, project delivery skills and industry knowledge.
