Job summary

IOR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical and control systems for industrial projects across Australia. You will contribute to fuel storage facilities, aviation refuelling, and renewable energy infra, collaborating with project teams to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

You’ll engage in PLC programming, testing and commissioning to ensure reliable automated processes across diverse environments, while meeting regulatory standards and client specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD and electrical system design.
• Understanding of hazardous areas, dangerous goods, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft electrical and control systems, ensuring quality and accuracy in documentation.
• Develop site layouts including equipment placement, cabling, earthing, lighting, and protection systems.
• Support project teams with electrical, instrumentation, and control scopes and documentation.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and hazardous area requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and contribute to continuous improvement of electrical design standards.
