Job summary
Origin Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and technical assurance for distributed energy resource projects, including solar, batteries, and EV charging. You will develop concept and detailed designs, calculations, and connection documentation while balancing safety, compliance, and whole‑of‑life value.
You will collaborate with delivery partners and customers to drive optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in solar, batteries, EV charging or DER.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering; CPEng status or working towards it.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and network connections; HV and protection experience valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design and technical assurance across distributed energy resource projects.
- Develop and review concept and detailed designs, specifications, calculations, single line diagrams and connection documentation.
- Optimise safety, compliance, constructability, reliability and whole-of-life project value.
- Provide senior technical advice across project delivery, business development, customers and delivery partners.
