Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an experienced OHS Leader to develop, implement and manage safety plans across major construction, installation and commissioning projects in Australia. You will conduct site inspections, audits, risk reviews, and incidents investigations while overseeing high-risk activities such as electrical works, lifting operations, and working at heights.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Experience with construction safety practices and standards.
• Qualifications in incident investigation and auditing are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage OHS requirements across major construction projects.
• Develop and maintain project-specific OHS plans and safety docs.
• Provide practical safety leadership to managers, site teams and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and risk reviews.
• Review SWMS, permits and safety documentation.
• Support high-risk activities including electrical works and lifting operations.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor safety performance and report trends to management.
• Promote safety culture through toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Liaise with clients and principal contractors on OHS matters.
