Job summary

iSelect is seeking a Senior Editor to lead its content team. You will blend human creativity with automation to boost quality and productivity while preserving the distinctive brand voice.

Responsibilities include mentoring writers, shaping workflows that use AI for ideation, research and editing, and collaborating with SEO, Marketing, Design and Brand teams to ensure compliant, high-quality output.

Qualifications

• Ten years of hands-on content creation/editing/journalism experience, including leading writers.
• Experience with editorial calendars and style guides.
• Familiarity with highly regulated industries and high standards for accuracy and compliance.
• Adept at mentoring others and maintaining brand voice across formats.

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re looking for a Senior Editor to lead our talented content team - someone who can blend human creativity with automation tools to boost quality, consistency and productivity, without ever losing our distinctive brand voice.

This isn’t about mass automation or churning out content at scale. It’s about empowering writers, shaping smart processes and using AI to enhance creativity - not replace it. You’ll:

• Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of content writers across diverse content types, providing thoughtful feedback, coaching and editorial oversight
• Boost Productivity: Implement workflows where AI supports ideation, research and editing; track metrics and refine processes to increase output
• Collaborate across Teams: Partner with SEO, Marketing, Design and Brand teams to align content with broader goals, ensuring compliance and responsible AI use
• Write and Edit: Keep your editing and writing skills sharp, supporting the team as needed to meet publishing targets

What Sets You Apart

You’re a seasoned content creation / editing / journalism pro with around ten years of hands‑on experience – with at least some of those leading and inspiring other writers. You know your way around an editorial calendar, a style guide and a well‑crafted narrative AND you love mentoring others to do their best work.

AI doesn’t intimidate you - it excites you! You’re tech‑curious and quick to adapt to new tools and platforms, so you’re keen to test exactly when AI can shine (and where human judgement is irreplaceable).

You’ll need:

• Solid grasp of SEO - we’re competing at the top level we want someone who loves playing in the big leagues
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to maintain a distinct brand voice across formats
• Ideally familiar with highly regulated industries with high standards for accuracy and compliance
