Job summary

Sigma Healthcare Limited is seeking a Solutions Architect to provide architectural leadership across Ecommerce and Digital Engineering platforms. You will translate complex business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions while aligning with enterprise architecture principles and the organisation’s strategic direction.

Approximately 80% of the role focuses on ecommerce, shaping platforms that enable digital customer journeys, online growth, and strong business performance.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least eight years’ experience in a Solutions Architecture, Architecture or similar senior technology role, ideally within the healthcare industry.
• Strong experience in digital commerce architecture, including eCommerce platforms, customer journeys, digital channels and supporting technologies.
• Practical knowledge of modern architecture patterns, including composable commerce, API-driven architecture, microservices, cloud-native solutions and integration patterns.
• A strong understanding of cloud platforms, application hosting models, security principles and operational requirements for highly available digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide solution architecture leadership for Ecommerce and Digital Engineering platforms, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, and technology strategy.
• Define and maintain scalable, secure, and sustainable architecture approaches for digital platforms, customer experiences, integrations, and supporting services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, and enterprise architecture to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to implementation and production support.
• Assess technology options and provide recommendations that balance business value, technical feasibility, scalability, risk, and cost.
• Partner with Engineering Managers and technical leads to support effective delivery, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure solutions are implemented as designed.
• Collaborate with technology vendors and delivery partners to evaluate solutions, review technical proposals, and ensure alignment with organisational standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams, fostering strong architectural practices and capability uplift across Digital Engineering.
