Job summary

GHD in Perth is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our Ecology team. You will lead biological surveys across Western Australia, prepare technical reports for referrals and environmental assessments, and contribute to winning proposals that help grow the business.

With 5+ years of ecology experience, you will mentor junior staff, manage projects, and deliver critical outcomes under pressure while navigating regulatory requirements. A manual C-class licence and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in environmental science or ecology.
• 5+ years ecology experience, WA preferred.
• Current driver's licence (class C), manual preferred.
• Knowledge of current environmental issues and legislation.
• Experience in proposal development and project management; works well in a team.
• Experience supervising junior team members and mentoring.
• Ability to deliver critical project outcomes under pressure.

What will you bring to the team?

• Bachelor degree qualification in environmental science or ecology discipline.
• 5+ years’ relevant ecology experience, within Western Australia preferred but not mandatory
• Current drivers’ licence (c class), manual preferred.
• Proven experience in and a sound understanding of current environmental issues and legislation.
• Proven experience in proposal development and project management and working as part of a team.
• Proven experience in supervision of junior team members, with the ability to mentor.
• Ability to deliver critical project outcomes under pressure with enthusiasm and drive.
