Job summary

Metro North Health is seeking a permanent part-time echocardiography specialist for our tertiary cardiology department in Brisbane. The role covers inpatient and outpatient imaging, stress and transoesophageal echocardiography, and involvement in education and research.

You will lead service improvements, mentor junior staff, and contribute to multimodality imaging across advanced diagnostic pathways, while embracing flexible working arrangements and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Qualified cardiologist with Fellowship in Cardiology.
• Expertise in echocardiography, stress echo and TEE.
• Experience in teaching and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient echocardiography services.
• Perform stress and transoesophageal echocardiography.
• Contribute to quality improvement and research.
• Mentor medical staff and students.
