Animal Referral Hospital in Collingwood (Melbourne) is seeking a qualified Senior ECC Veterinary Nurse with substantial Emergency and Critical Care experience. You’ll be clinically confident, lead by example in a fast-paced environment, own patient care, mentor junior nurses, and contribute to clinical decision-making while expanding your advanced ECC skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Nurse with substantial ECC experience.
• Ability to mentor junior nurses and lead in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to contribute to clinical decision-making and ongoing skill development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard holistic nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage through CARE journey.
• Act as a senior clinical resource during shifts, supporting nursing and veterinary teams.
• Mentor and guide less experienced nurses to build confidence, skills, and clinical judgement.
• Manage day flow to ensure hospital productivity.
• Assist with anaesthesia, advanced procedures, and surgery.
• In-house laboratory testing with access to ultrasound, endoscopy and CT.
• Undertake specific front-desk duties outside of normal reception hours and support clients via telephone.
