Job summary

Young Academics Early Learning Centre in Cumberland, NSW, is seeking a passionate Lead Early Childhood Teacher to deliver high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF and NQS. You will mentor educators, strengthen teaching practice, and collaborate with families to support children's learning, safety and wellbeing.

The role is full-time with a rotating roster, Mon–Fri 6:30 am–6:00 pm, and offers a supportive team, strong safety culture, and opportunities for professional growth within a reputable

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved teaching qualification required.
• NESA Teacher Accreditation current and valid.
• WWCC for paid work must be current.
• First Aid/CPR and Child Protection certificates current.
• Food Handler Basics Training certificate current.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging programs aligned with EYLF, NQS and curriculum.
• Lead reflective practice and mentor educators to strengthen teaching.
• Observe and document children's learning, promoting inclusion and school readiness.
• Maintain active supervision and uphold child safety standards.
• Build partnerships with children, families and the community.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and collaborative team culture.

Education

ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Bachelor degree or equivalent)

Current NSW NESA Teacher Accreditation

Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Current First Aid, CPR and National Mandatory Child Protection certificates

Current Food Handler Basics Training Certificate
