Job summary

Hatch in Brisbane is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer to join our Project Delivery Group. This role involves delivering E&I design and drafting across projects, developing 2D/3D layouts, and coordinating activities within multidisciplinary teams to meet client specifications.

You will work with engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards, contribute to schedules and cost estimates, and participate in design reviews during

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical & Instrumentation design within mining, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Experience coordinating design deliverables across multiple disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and international electrical and instrumentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Electrical and Instrumentation design and drafting activities across a range of projects.
• Develop and review 2D and 3D layouts, models, drawings, and design documentation.
• Coordinate E&I design activities within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Work closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
• Support the development of project schedules and capital cost estimates.
• Participate in design reviews and technical support during construction, commissioning, and project execution phases.
• Mentor and support junior designers while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
