Job summary

Globant is seeking an experienced Senior .NET/C# engineer in Sydney to design, build and scale high-performance applications. You will own the full lifecycle, from design through deployment, leveraging AWS CDK for .NET and Terraform templates.

The role requires deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, CI/CD practices, and database technologies. You will work across AWS services like Lambda, MSK Connect, Apache Flink, Neptune and Athena, while collaborating with teams to continuously improve architecture

Qualifications

• Expertise in C#, .NET Core and CDK.Net.
• Experience with infrastructure templating: CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, TeamCity).
• Strong knowledge of databases: Aurora RDS, Postgres, SQL Server, DocumentDB.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and services using the latest versions of C# and .NET Core.
2. Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for .NET. You will also be responsible for creating reusable Terraform 2. templates to wrap and deploy C# services.
3. Build solutions leveraging a range of AWS services, including AWS Lambda, MSK Connect, Apache Flink, Amazon Neptune, and Amazon Athena.
4. Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from initial design and development through to testing and deployment.
5. Quickly dive into and understand the existing application and codebase, making impactful contributions from day one.
6. Proactively identify and implement improvements to our platform's architecture, development processes, and overall performance with a customer centric mindset.

Required Skills and Qualifications

2. 3. Demonstrable experience of infrastructure templating with CloudFormation and/or Terraform 3. Experience with implementing OOP principles and design patterns with C#.
3. 4. Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
4. 5. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, TeamCity.)
5. 6. Strong working knowledge of at least one database technology; Aurora RDS, Postgres, SQL Server, Documentdb.

Nice-to-Have Skills

1. A solid understanding of core networking principles and protocols.
2. Exposure to AWS data and streaming services such as Amazon Athena, AWS Glue, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon EMR, Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, or zero-ETL solutions.
3. Proficiency in additional scripting languages like PowerShell, Shell scripting (Bash), Ansible, or Kotlin.
4. Experience and familiarity working within both Windows and Linux environments.
5. Hands-on experience with modern monitoring and observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
6. Knowledge of database schema migration and version control tools, such as Liquibase or Flyway.
