Job summary

National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) seeks a senior architect to develop and communicate the architecture strategy and target state for a defined domain. You will provide technical leadership across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and security requirements.

You will lead analyses of complex problems, establish governance, mentor architects, and influence investment decisions to deliver coherent end-to-end solutions within the Australian Public Service

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years designing and delivering complex finance and/or ERP solutions.
• Translate strategy and business requirements into coherent domain architecture and direction.
• Extensive experience applying architecture principles, patterns, standards and governance across programs.
• Analyse complex architectural issues and provide evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology environments, financial management, regulatory and compliance standards.
• Senior stakeholder leadership and communication to influence executives and teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate architecture, target state and strategic roadmap for a domain.
• Provide authoritative architectural advice and technical leadership across programs and initiatives.
• Ensure solution architectures align with enterprise architecture, domain strategy and security requirements.
• Lead analysis of complex problems and develop strategic options and transition approaches.
• Establish domain-level principles, patterns and guardrails for consistency and reuse.
• Review designs and decisions, identify cross-domain dependencies, risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with enterprise, solution and security architects, data leaders and delivery teams.
• Influence investment decisions by advising on impacts, dependencies and sequencing.
• Represent domain at architecture and governance forums to support decision-making.
• Monitor emerging technologies and assess their impact on the domain.
• Lead resolution of significant architectural issues and manage trade-offs.
• Build architectural capability through leadership and mentoring
