Job summary

Optus is seeking an Associate Director, Security Management to drive security outcomes for a major Federal Government account. You will oversee security strategy, accreditation, risk management, incident response, and compliance in a highly regulated environment.

You will be the primary security advisor, engaging with executive leadership and ensuring alignment with the Australian Government ISM and PSPF frameworks. This role requires Australian citizenship and NV1 eligibility.

Qualifications

• Extensive IT security management experience in Australian Government environments.
• Strong understanding of ISM and PSPF frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop security strategies aligned to ISM/PSPF.
• Identify, assess, and manage security risks per government regulations.
• Provide IT security advisory and management support across projects.
• Act as trusted security advisor to the customer, engaging with senior stakeholders.
