Job summary

Mission Critical Recruiting in Sydney is seeking an established commissioning leader to guide the fastest-growing hyperscale data centre operator in the region. You will oversee multiple concurrent commissioning programs across Australian builds and lead an internal team, coordinating with general contractors and stakeholders to keep IST timelines on track.

Travel is required as you oversee FATs of critical equipment and ensure projects meet ASHRAE-aligned standards and stringent data centre

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on mechanical or electrical qualifications.
• Deep understanding of commissioning processes per ASHRAE standards.
• Experience with data centres and complex physical plant is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple concurrent commissioning programs across Australian data centre builds.
• Lead and hire an internal team to oversee ICA and collaborate with general contractors.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure IST timelines are met for each project.
• Travel to FATs of critical equipment as required.

Overview

MCR are seeking an established commissioning leader to work for the quickest growing hyperscale data centre operator in region.

Overseeing multiple, concurrent commissioning programs across data centre builds in Australia, you'll lead and hire an internal team who will oversee the ICA as well as work closely with general contractors and various stakeholders to ensure that IST for each project is hitting required timelines.

Please note that you'll be traveling in this role as you oversee various FAT's of critical equipment.

Key Requirements

• Mechanically or electrically qualified
• Deep understanding of the commissioning process in line with ASHRAE standards
• Data Centre experience highly preferred
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Able to delegate, mentor and guide others
• Willing and able to travel

This is a critical position for one of the leading hyperscale data centre developers in region.

Data centre experience is preferred but not essential.
