Job summary

Aquent, in partnership with a renowned higher education leader, is seeking a visionary UI designer to lead the visual refresh of core digital assets. You will work within a mature design system, mentor experiences, and collaborate with CMS and front-end squads to deliver accessible, engaging interactions for a vast user base.

You will wireframe, prototype, run usability tests, and translate brand guidelines into cohesive layouts across responsive pages, ensuring consistency and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design clean, high-impact web pages within a mature design system.
• Hands-on wireframing, user flows, layout hierarchy, and usability testing.
• Ability to contribute to and enhance a design system within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead redesigns of high-visibility web pages using brand guidelines and design system components.
• Adapt layouts to Information Architecture updates to improve navigability.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and concepts for solutions beyond the current system scope.
• Collaborate daily with CMS developers, front-end engineers, and product stakeholders for feasible, executable designs.
• Validate design decisions through usability testing and data-driven discussions with stakeholders.
